Ok. We are at day 6 of our 10 day detox. Updates: This morning, I had lost 7.4 lbs so far and Nina has lost 5 lbs exactly. We haven’t lost the weight, as we don’t want to find it again!. It’s probably better to say that we have reduced our overall weight by that amount.
The subconscious mind doesn’t have a sense of humor. So if you focus on losing something, it will try to find it again for you.
That is also why we are both focused on a Life Style change and not a diet. What do the first 3 letters of that word say? that’s right DIE!
That is what your body thinks that is happening to it when you go on a diet. Your metabolism slows right down to conserve energy. So when you go on a diet, you severely restrict it’s normal food intake. It will comply with you wishes (for now).
BUT built into our DNA is all our Ancestral programming.
It thinks it is going through another famine/food shortage. So when you come off your “DIE’t” Your infinite wisdom will put all the weight back on PLUS some extra weight, so that it can cope better the next time a food shortage comes around. Sorry folks that’s just how the way it is. It is how we are psychologically wired up. Can you now see, why diets don’t work long term?
By the way, with the Lemon Detox plan we are on, with using the correct ingredients, we are never hungry, as your body is getting all the vitamins, minerals and nutrients that it needs on a daily basis. If you feel peckish, you just pour another drink from the thermos flask.
